Dr. Sue Ebbers founded Change by Design in 2008 and has been a performance consultant for over 25 years. She is passionate about problem solving and enjoys giving her clients creative, effective solutions.

Sue leads a company of performance professionals who – just like her - love to design and deliver effective workplace training and organizational improvement solutions that not only meet client expectations… they exceed them!.

Sue believes it’s most important to listen carefully to all the issues and challenges facing an organization so that the solutions she and her team develop successfully integrate relevant work-arounds and skill building in the context within which they are applied.

“Honesty, integrity, hard work... These are really important to me. My clients know they can count on me for straight-up answers.”

Sue has an MS and a Ph.D. from the renowned Florida State University Instructional Systems and Learning Technologies program and enjoys mentoring up-and-coming performance consultants.

“I believe in giving back to my profession and to my community in Tallahassee, Florida.”

When she’s not working or volunteering, Sue loves to travel, garden, hike, cook gourmet meals for friends and family, knit, observe political and social patterns, and read. She and her husband Paul have four grown children.
